2 Weeks – Tanzania

This is an example of a shorter expedition, focused around a single volunteer project.

Week 1

Volunteer work at Waang'waray Primary School, renovating a classroom block to improve the quality of education by reducing the number of children per class. Work includes basic construction, mixing cement, plastering, painting and taking informal English lessons.

Weekend spent taking part in a Maasai Cultural Exchange. Students stay in the Maasai community, learning about and taking part in the traditional nomadic way of life.

Students also organise a school sports day and other activities with the school children.

Week 2

Project work at the primary school continues and is completed.

2 day safari through the Ngorongoro Crater National Park to learn about African wildlife with the chance to spot the "Big 5" - Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino and Elephant.
